Princess Bride

Today marks the one month anniversary of mine & Tyler's wedding. So... I think it's appropriate to share with you some of my favorite photos along with some additional details about the wedding.

Here are a few of my favorite photos:

Me and my Maid of Honor, Mary Kate (sister)

I was married at St. Joan of Arc Church in Boca Raton, FL on January 28th at 2PM. St. Joan holds a special place in my heart because it is where I was baptized and went to school from K-8th grade.

Bridal Party

We did it!!!

I must say that this wedding would not have been possible without the help, love & dedication from so many people. This was truly the best day of my life!

So... what about my flowers, dress, shoes & cake?

My flowers were done by Ron Weeks, who is a florist in Delray Beach, FL. He is a long-time friend of my Aunt Betsy. Let's just say he was more than generous to us - and we really appreciated it.

My Bouquet :)

My dress, which I am absolutely obsessed with, is a Lazaro. We found it at Boca Bridal about 10 months before the wedding. It was the only dress I tried on - and it was the one I had my heart set on when I first got engaged (back in July 2010). When we went dress shopping, I brought the designer name and number to Boca Bridal and was so surprised that they had it (it was from one of the collections in 2009). Anyways, when I tried it on, I knew it would be perfect... and it was :)

Believe it or not, I found my shoes online. This is something that I would not normally do - but I found an amazing website that sells only wedding shoes! I highly suggest this website to any bride who has not found their shoes, yet. It's called My Glass Slipper. Perfect... right? Hehe.

Princess Shoes
I don't know about you, but I believe the cake is an important part of the Reception. It's the focal point! So, I knew that the cake needed to scream "us"! Tyler was the one who actually picked it out - but of course, I added the sparkles to it. The flavor of it was vanilla rum (yum yum). And, we got it from Ana Paz - her cakes are spectacular! She's based out of Miami, FL.

What tied it all together:

This bow was on the back of my Uncle's car - which we rode in to the Reception.

We chose to have a candy bar for our guests. It added the perfect touch to the Reception. I made hot pink bags with mine and Tyler's initials on them (for the guests to put the candy in).

The Reception:

The Reception was at the Gulf Stream Bath & Tennis Club.

Our wedding day was more than perfect. We truly have the best family and friends who gave us unlimited support throughout our entire engagement and our Wedding.

Tyler and I have been together for 8 years - and we couldn't be happier. I'm excited for our life-long journey together and all that life will bring.

Work-Out Queen

Later I will talk about my work-out routine, but for now I'm going to share with you all the boutique fitness studios that I love to go to!

Most of the time, I work-out at a gym - mostly because my wallet cannot support me constantly working-out at these studios. However, I do feel like these places yield better results and make working-out "fun".

Here are my favorites:

  • Pilates of Boca: I am a HUGE fan of Pilates. If this is not in your work-out routine now, then you must add it. I have been going to this studio ever since I moved home from college. The owner of this studio is very good friends with the owner of the studio in Tallahassee (where I went weekly). Anyways - I typically do the mat classes. Why? Because they are the most challenging and they are the cheapest! It can't get any better than that! If you are in the South Florida area, I highly suggest that you try this studio out. It's fantastic. (If not - try your local Pilates studio.) Here are my favorite instructors: Stefanie Ellis (she is the owner), Nicole Callis & Tanya Failla (she is my favorite!).
  • Pure Barre: This is a chain studio that is popping up all over the United States. I first discovered this little gem in Nashville, Tennessee. Then, one opened up in Boca Raton right when I moved back down here. This work-out incorporates Pilates, dance & weights to lift and tone your body. It works every muscle! I ALWAYS feel this work-out the next day.
  • FlyWheel: This is the BEST cycle class you will ever go to. I can't even go to a regular spin class at LA Fitness anymore - because the classes are so boring. Anyways, this studio gives each rider their own cycling shoes (this makes such a huge difference). And, the bikes are set-up "stadium style" so everyone can see the instructor. The music selection is always amazing - and all the instructors talk and motivate you through the entire work-out. My favorite part of the class is when we use weights for our arms. It breaks up the class a bit and adds something you normally wouldn't get at a "gym-style" spin class. My favorite instructor is Angela Lutin. She kicks ass!
  • Bikram Yoga of Delray Beach: I must say that the BEST Bikram Yoga studio I have ever been to was in Nashville, Tennessee. The instructors were amazing and the studio, itself, was gorgeous. Anyways - this is my favorite studio in the South Florida area. The benefits of practicing this yoga are unbelievable. I am a runner - so this always helps me when my muscles get really tight. And - the best part? You can burn up to 900 calories in one class!
So, I hope I was able to share some valuable information to you. :)

Life Lately

I've decided that blogging is a great way to share your ideas, feelings, life experiences & so much more. It's a way to connect to the people you know (and people you don't know) on a different level.

So... what about me? As most people know - I have an unhealthy obsession with pink and sparkles. Nashville is my "home". I absolutely LOVE animals, especially horses. I have been riding horses since the age of 3 (although, I haven't shown competitively in 2 years). I just married the love of my life (about 3 weeks ago). We have been together 8 years (next week!). I just started a new job at CBS Radio, and I am so grateful that I love where I work. And, I'm always at the gym.

Now... what is this blog going to be about? EVERYTHING.

--> I'm going to share with you my life as a married woman (I promise this won't be boring).
--> Fashion : What I would wear (I think I have great taste).
--> Work Out Tips : I think I've done a damn good job at staying in shape! I'm proud of what I got!
--> Recipes : Am I a good cook? Nah - but I will share some great ones that I find. :)
--> Life Lessons : These past 3 years have taught me more than most people would learn in a lifetime. I hope to connect with others out there who may have gone through the same experience!

I'm so excited to join the blogging world - and I look forward to keeping all of you updated about "me" on a daily basis.
